Public Outreach

Public Outreach at the Science CentreThis group raises awareness in the Toronto community to better understand how we can respond to one of the world's greatest challenges: global poverty.  The groups main goals are:

  • Engaging and partnering with individuals of all ages, organizations, and governments to promote the adoption and implementation of development-enabling activities and policies.
  • Inward looking to see what we can do here in Canada by way of engaging the public to promote global human development.
  • Provide an easy inlet to EWB for interested participants.
Program Activities:
  • Organizing and coordinating the EWB Day Massive Outreach event (beginning of March every year)
  • Organizing and coordinate other big events
  • Volunteers present the “Water for the World” or “Food for Thought” workshop during National Engineering Week at the end of each February
  • Help plan social events for members
